Such a mission to exchange something WE PAID FOR!

I was chosen as a bridesmaid for a friends wedding in CPT. She bought me a dress (cash) and sent it down. I was unable to stand as bridesmaid as I broke my thumb and underwent surgery. The dress was unworn and still had the tag on. My friend no longer had the receipt for R450. I went into my nearest truworths branch i.e BankCity and spoke to Lizzy & Eva (store manager). After MANY MANY phonecalls and visits to the store Haseena (regional manager) eventually agreed that I could exchange the item for something else worth R450 (she did not advise a time constraint). I had visited the store on 3/4 lunch breaks as I work in town but did not find anything suitable. I mentioned to Lizzy & Eva that I would visit again as I did not find anything suitable - they had no objection and kindly agreed. Today I went in and finally found a pair of jeans worth R425. When I went to the till Eva told me the dress is on sale for R199! I asked for Haseena's contact details and was told she's in Randburg. I called Randburg but she wasn't there. Now when i called Eva back they said they don't know where she is???!! FRUSTRATION! CPA please!
