Tag wasn't removed by cashie

I bought a skirt and dress for my daughter on sale and paid R440.00 in cash. The skirt was returned on 06.07.2013 and exchanged for a cardigan. The cashier asked if she could keep the receipt. I didn't need it as the dress fitted my daughter. Only the following Monday when she was going to wear it to work did she realize that the tag hadn't been removed! Off I go back to Truworths and was told they couldn't remove the tag without a receipt and nothing they could do. My daughter went back with the dress last Sunday and a female Manager said she would go through the receipts. Altogether we went back to Truworths 6 times and every time we were told that they couldn't find a receipt for that sale! That is just not possible! I still have the label of the dress with the barcode. It must be possible to scan it and it will show that this dress was sold. But the manager said the label doesn't help. And why didn't it beep when I left the shop? Wasn't the system switched on?! What am I supposed to do? Throw the dress away and forget about it? I am so infuriated and disgusted with your Blue Route staff that I closed my account and will let all my friends know and see if they do the same!
