Store will not accept returns

My husband purchased a childrens coat for my son on the 21 september 2013 at the pavilion branch on his account. The coat was unfortunately the wrong colour. We chose to return it on the 13 october at the westwood branch since this is the closest branch to us as we live right next to westwood. The salesperson refused. We had the slip, the tags are still on the coat as my son did not use it. They refused saying as they do not have stock of the item, they cannot accept the return. The slip says return within 30 days. It does not say return to the exact store purchased from!! The 30 days is almost up and i am unable to go all the way back to pavilion. Really disappointed and irritated that the westwood branch refused my return!
