Refuse to refund and return an item of clothing

I bought a trench coat for R1100 at Urban. The coat does not fit me and there is nothing else in the Store that I want or need and there is no other size in the coat.
I asked them to refund me and return the coat as what must I buy if there is nothing in the store???
They refused saying that this is policy they are unable to refund. They will only allow you to exchange for another item. What do they not understand that I don't want anything else so why must I be forced to spend R1100 on another item just because they can't help me and refund it?
It is pathetic how they can expect a customer to just take anything else for R1100 because they don't want to bend policy and refund your money. The item was purchased on Monday 28 January 2013 just 4 days ago in the same packaging with slips and still they refuse to refund you.
I then spoke to the regional manager for Urban and his attitude was pathetic and advised me that he will not give me any other contact number or person as they will not refund me and I must exchange the item for another. After spending almost an hour trying to get someone with empathy to assist me I ended up leaving the store with the item. URBAN STINKS!!!
