TV unable to play sound with DIV X movies

I purchased a 42 inch LED LG TV from Makro about 5 months ago. This was a latest model 3d TV that could play everything according to the salesman and LG consultant. Sadly it plays Divx but with no sound as another LG that I purchased a month earlier. Now I was frantic and I called the store and LG from day one of taking delivery of the product. The Makro Woodmead Hi Tec manager told me to contact LG to rectify the problem. It has taken LG more than 6 months after numerous phone calls to tell me that they cannot resolve the problem. For all this time I have kept the box with original packaging and the plastic protection is still on the TV.I am now fed up with waiting for LG and would like to return the TV for a refund. This will take time and money to back to the store. I further would like to stress that the LG consultants in store should not mislead customers with the capabilities of the LG tv. I will rather purchase an older model Samsung that can play all the formats with sound. Please can someone from Makro Store advise what I should do? Unhappy customer.
