Poor Service

On Sunday, 2 June 2013 I went to the Woodmead branch of Sportsmans Warehouse to buy some hockey shin pads for my daughter. They did not have her size so I was handed over to a more "senior" assistant as the person attending to me was a trainee. The lady phoned their Fourways branch and confirmed that they had stock of her size. She took my details and assured me that they would be at their store for me to collect on Wednesday, 5 June. We needed them for a hockey match on Thursday, 6 June. Lo and behold, 1 pm Wednesday afternoon, I had not received a phone call to collect the shin pads. I phoned the store and was transferred from one extension to the next. No one knew about my delivery. Eventually I was told that I could collect them by 3pm. I arrived at the store at 3:30pm and the driver was still not back. No one had bothered to phone me. I was given every excuse under the sun. The manager did not have the decency to come out of his office to speak to me. I am appalled by the feeble excuses given to me from the salesman and that the manager did not try and assist an irate customer.
