Mid October I went to Sportsmans Warehouse Gateway to buy two Trek bicycles (R5000 each). Gateway only had one in stock so I was told to give my details to the lady at the desk.
I told her to keep the one in stock aside & I would pay & collect both bikes at one time.
I was told I'd get an SMS when my request was loaded.
A week went by & no SMS. Then out of the blue on 30th October I get an SMS to say a product request was recorded.
A week later I get a call from lady at Gateway to say head office have contacted them & they have the Trek bike in stock.By now I suspect I'm dealing with an inefficient organisation so I ask for clarity before visiting the store. I ask have you got TWO bikes in stock? they say no! instead they only have the one I asked to be set aside.
I tell the lady that I asked for two bikes, not one, she tells me she'll get back to me.
Unsurprisingly I don't hear from her again, so I decide to call Sportsmans head office in Cape Town.
I was told I couldn't be put through to anyone senior & was told instead that the KZN manager would call me. A week later to date & still no call.
Its over a month since I enquired at Sportsmans! What kind of customer service is this
