3 Months and still not repaired

Good day, I bought a Lg arx 8000 component hi fi system from Russels Middelburg mp on account and also included a extended warrenty.about a month after the factory warrenty expired the system broke down, and i took it in to the store to have it repaired. Paperwork was checked and confirmed that the repair can be done as I took out the extended warrenty. It is now going on month 3 and the system has still not been repaired< the only answer that I am able to get is that the repair of - R1500 is to much for the in shop repairs department to decide and is ahead office matter.today 2013/05/07 my wife phoned to find out what is going to happen and she was told that head office did not approve the repair and she could not have been given a answer. R1500 is small change compared to the almost R10 000 I am paying for the sytem, and why then would I fork money for a extended warrenty??? What must I do? Stop paying and face a law suit or keep paying for something I clearly do not get any joy out of!!!
