ERROR CODES ON DSTV AND POORLY TRAINED STAFF

Over the past 3 - 4 weeks, I have been contacting DSTV helpline for assistance with error codes on my XTRA view decoders. Each time I have been given different instructions on how to clear the error codes. I have been told to restore factory default settings. I have been told to auto tune the TV's which then messes up all the TV settings. Restoring factory default settings puts both decoders on the same frequency and according to an independent contractor that I use from time to time - this is totally incorrect and the XTRA view will not work. Each time that I have to get the contractor out it costs me R400. After one of the many calls I made to DSTV, I asked that someone with more knowledge contact me, the assistant assured my that someone would call me - I am still waiting!!
