I paid up my DSTV subscription for the year, in January 2013.
DSTV gladly accepted the payment and needed no proof of payment. They have been using this lump sum ever since to debit the monthly subscription.
I terminated my DSTV subscription last week Wednesday and requested a refund.
NOW they want proof of payment??? 6 months later and ONLY because I want a refund. (There is no other justification for this request.
So if you intend on cancelling your DSTV subscription (and made an annual payment), be ready for a really intense battle to get your money back!
Sadly, this is after receiving an email last week 05 June saying that that refund will be in my account within a few days. It's now that I followed up on the refund that MY money becomes an issue and loads of red tape.
