I cancelled my DSTV end of April due to financial constraints, I explained this to the consultant and said I am giving 1 months notice, please can he make sure that my subscription is cancelled and please to ensure that I will not be billed again. He assured me that this would be done. Come the 1st of June my service is suspended and guess what, they still debit the subscription amount from may account. After calling the call centre, they apologise and say they will refund me my full R622.27 but it will take 7 days for the refund. This alone is a sign of total disregard to the consumer as now I am out of pocket for 7 days when I can't actually afford to be and I don't see why there mistake should be my problem. I grudgingly said ok but feel that that this shows just how much the consumer means to them. Absolutely nothing? I called a few days later to follow up, they were unable to get my cancelation done correctly I am sure they will keep me hanging on my refund and I was then told that it takes 7 days to process and another 7 days to be paid so in actual fact I must wait 14 days & they are taking back the R100 discount they gave me when I signed up for debit order. Disgusting
