Renault assistance is the worst!!

Miscellaneous

Purchased a demo 2013 Renault Grand Scenic in August. The price of such a vehicle is R330000 new.

The car left me stranded when it registered a "engine failure hazard" which instructed me to contact Renault roadside assistance. The car was promptly towed to the nearest franchise/dealer for inspection.

This is now the 2nd day since the tow in and the franchise/dealer have not even looked at the vehicle yet as they say that other vehicles was towed in before mine and that they first service other vehicles and will only then will they inspect my car. Meanwhile I am sitting without a vehicle as this our only transport and I am currently relying on "lifts" for my entire family including a 6 month old baby to get to our destinations.

I honestly did not expect a new vehicle to leave me stranded in the first place but what really gets me going is the priority Renault SA places on persons stranded due to their own defective product!! Why is my vehicle not prioritized? Why if the dealer is swamped with work not send the car to a different dealer???

Can only urge ANY person considering a Renault to STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE and from the looks of the amount of complaints I'm not alone.
