I am being prevented from doing critical blood tests due to Bankmed's blatant incompetence. I was placed on hold for 28 minutes by the special care operators this morning, to be cut off when I asked to speak to a supervisor. I called back and was promptly put through to an operator who immediately cut me off again when I explained the situation. I have made 7 calls to the special care programme but my special care case worker, Nombulelo, has not once gotten back to me when she assured me she would call back within 30 minutes.

In addition, my specialist doctor has filled in three different letters and forms to try and get my chronic medication authorised. However, the special care programme operators every time informs me that he has to fill in the same forms he already completed! And when I explain that it has been done, total confusion ensues. This morning I was informed that the medication that was approved as chronic a month ago, no longer is. I used to be a member of Camaf, and my full treatment and medication was authorised within minutes with no issues. I have not spoken to a single person at Bankmed capable of, or willing to understanding my requirements. Shocking.
