Key Care Patient

I was very sick and went to my GP who refered me to a specialist and Discovery authorized i see this specialists . the day i went to see the specialist i was admitted and had an operation by the same specialists. the bills started flowing in and i was told i had an amount of - R7000 to pay since i had gone to a doctor who was not in the Network. Firstly i didnt not send myself to the specialists, my GP send the authorization to Discovery. Someone at Discovery Authorized that i go see this Specialits as a per Key Care Policy i had followed the right procedure . its clearly My GP and Discovery that messed up . how do u authorize a Key care patient to see a specialist that is not in the network? and then turnaround and say you will not be paying the bills. I am a Key Care Patient i do not have money to pay for this and i will not pay it as i did not do anything wrong from my side . i followed the process as per my agreement with Discovery. so it is between Discovery and the GP to make sure the Specialists is paid. I was very sick and i was taken advantage of . its unfair.
