I would just like to take 5min of my time and actually compliment a company for there great service. The service I get from Discovery Health is always without problems and that actually makes people forget about the service that they receive, each month when I see debit orders go down on my account or deductions on my payslip I just skip past Discovery because there is just no issue with them: No hidden medical costs and complete transparency, you know what you pay for and you get what you pay for.

I have come across people complaining about the cost of Specialists and when they claim the money back from Discovery they feel they are being ripped off because Discovery only compensate them for approximately R400, keep in mind that Discovery gives you coverage for what they think is fair so when a Doctor exploits you! Doesn't mean that Discovery should take the financial beating. I have been down that road multiple times each time I see my Specialist its R1100 cash for consultation and another R400 if he has to put pen to paper but at the end it is my decision to use the Specialist because Discovery does have a network of health practitioners that we can use that are affordable.
