I called to query why a Specialists bill had not been paid for my newborn twins, I had the "privilege" of speaking to Ashen Pillay, he informed me that the claim was not paid as our savings were finished, fair enough however I was not happy with the response as we pay a hefty amount of money on medical every month but can never understand what gets done with the savings, but if you on medical aid you always get charged more than a patient who isnt, he told me that he also asked the same questions until one day he saw 2 x claims come in by Discovery 1 of R500000 & 1 of R600000 which Discovery paid for those patients without hesitating however this has got absolutely nothing to do with me! He then transferred me to Kriban Chetty cutting a long story short after approx. 25min of conversation he advised me that seeing as though I don't want to pay the Specialist bills myself I should take my children to a GP as these consults are covered 100%, my twins which were born this year were born premature & I have been instructed to take them to the specialist for a checkup, I take huge offence by Mr Chetty saying this to me as well as with Mr Pillay he has no right to say such a thing!!
