We have been with Medshield since 2006. Towards the end of 2012 everything changed. There was always a problem with our claims. If it wasn't an ICD10 code it was a tariff code that was wrong. I had to constantly nag to get anything approved. 2013 started off with our day-to-day benefits being exhausted by April. Trying to get answers from the call centre is an absolute nightmare. The call centre agents always have a different reason as to why something was not approved for payment. They don't seem to be guessing. After seeing a very helpful lady at the PE branch who also had to go through the call centre I found out that my son's chronic medication was going off of our day-to-day benefits. This was no longer Medshields problem, it was the "middle mans" error. But I can't speak to them directly. I was fortunate that my pharmacist assisted in getting 3 of the 4 claims reversed but 1 still remains on our d2d. I received a survey from them which I filled in & was contacted by Mukosi to help. This was about 3 weeks ago & he still can't help. I have paid a dietician in Mar which they say is stale but they changed the date to 2012. Mukosi has still not come back to me.
