SOUNDTECH SELLS BROKEN GOODS

On the 11 May 2013 I purchased a PC game pad (PS 2 style). I opened the packaging on the 12 May and removed the control to find that the cord was cut. I immediately phoned into the store and was asked to bring it in which I did the following day. The manager of the store books it in for repairs to send it through to his supplier and I must await the outcome which could take up to 3 weeks. Basically I was told that the onus does not fall on him for damaged goods and he has no regard for the consumer protection act.
