Microwave damaged

Purchased microwave on 21 august was working find on Saturday 24th was not warming up
food took it back to store but was told that my warrantee falls away because i cut the cord which we had to in order for it to fit into the built in unit .this morning the store calls me to tell me they spoke to the supplier if i want it repaired i should bring it my self to them for repairs and pay for it.
