No feedback on e-mail correspondence

My daughter's Platinum Afrikaans was out of her schoolbag. We gave her some time to find the book but no luck. As she was going to write exams in a week, I had to buy a new one. I ordered the book Mo 07-10-2013 reference number: 49162. She found her book on Tuesday and I desperately needed to cancel the order. I phoned Van Schaik's and they asked to send an email. 1st email was sent Tue 08-10-2013 @ 12:29, explaining I desperately needed to cancel my order. My email was read @ 13:51, but no reply. On Thu 10-10-2013 @ 07:41 I sent another email asking them to please cancel my order and I attached the original email and the read-report for their information. The book was expected to ship on the 10th so this cancellation request was still in time. The email was read on the same day @ 08:17. Still they did not respond to my email: they totally ignored me. I expect this was due to the fact that they already received my money. As they had the book in stock when I ordered, I expected the book earlier than 7 days after I ordered it. Until today, Mo 14-10-2013 17:00, still no response from Van Schaik's. Why this email address, [Email Removed] if they don't intend to respond?
