I bought a Daihatsu Charade XLE in 2009, as a preowned car.

It has been serviced annually, but last year I decided to take it directly to Daihatsu in Umhlanga for a service.
After a very expensive "minor" service, it was recommended that I have the clutch over hauled as it was showing to be slipping.

In November 2012 I took my car to a very reputable garage in North Coast road called SWIFT AUTO CENTRE.
I have dealt with them on numerous occasions and had found them very satisfactory. SWIFT is affiliated with insurance companies and is a member of all relevant boards and associations in the automotive industry.
Swift purchased and installed a genuine Daihatsu clutch kit on 9 of November 2012.

Last Wednesday, 3rd of July my clutch gave in. SWIFT have a 1 year guarantee on their workmanship, and were more than happy to investigate. It was established that the thrust bearing was broken. Since then SWIFT have been in contact with numerous individuals from Daihatsu Durban and JHB with no assistance - clearly a faulty clutch kit.

Daihatsu should honour their one year guarantee on parts.

I am a single mother who has now been without a car for over a week!
