Daihatsu Terios - 10 days without a vehicle

Our Terios had a faulty gearbox, and was booked for a service at Daihatsu SW for Friday the 16th of August. I phoned every day to find out how the replacement is progressing, and apparently the gearbox was faulty, it was taken out and sent to Cape Town for assessment. I phoned again this morning, and still no report. Apparently the report, when they get it, must first be authorized by the manufacturer, and then parts would be ordered. This will probably take another week the way they are managing this, and they have no courtesy vehicle available. This is ridiculous, as the parts are still under warranty, we have a maintenance plan and insurance, and now will have to rent a vehicle. Surely this expense should be covered where a part is under warranty, or at least provision should be made for a courtesy car?
