Daihatsu Terious 2009 On the 3rd of June I brought my Daihatsu in as the gearbox was making a noise in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th gears. The vehicle was left at the service Centre and I was notified that the car had been tested Diff! I went personally to find out exactly what the problem was as there was no problem with the diff and the problem was gear box. After speaking to the Diff and gbox company he said that it was both gearbox and diff. I then went back to Daihatsu and told them that "vendor says diff and gearbox. There was a male employee there that overheard us talking, he tells me that the car was making noises in all gears so the problem was diff. I told them to get hold of "vendor" as someone has their wires crossed. The diff was removed from the vehicle and sent to "vendor" who after my intervention requested the gearbox be sent to them. Apparently Daihatsu workshop cannot remove the gearbox After 10 Days the vehicle left Daihatsu for the Vendor. a cost of -R18000 I requested discount and wound up paying R15000. Vehicle was out of warranty but only had 45000KM on the clock. I requested a follow up from Dealer Principal and still am waiting!
