Daihatsu SA
Parts unavailble for 21 working days

Cars & Transport

A T-Joint pipe burst in my mother's Daihatsu Cuore. She went to the dealer because she was asured that they would have the part. The dealership contacted my mother to say that the t-joint pipe and CV boots would need replacing and that it would take 21 days to source the parts. My mother has since sourced to CV boots from another supplier who will fit them for one third of the price that Daihatsu quoted her but is still waiting for the t-joint pipe. A friend of my mum's who is involved in the motor industry contacted the principal dealer who assured him that a part had been sourced, however, when my mum phoned the dealership a few days later she was told yet again that the part has not been sourced (who is telling the truth). How is is possible that a simple pipe can take 21 working days to source. I suggest that Daihatsu visit their local spares shop to see if they can make a plan or else get the part couriered to their offices from Japan. My mother is a pensioner who requires the car in order to take care of her ill mother who is in hospital.
