I was double changed on a transaction. I told the cashier that the transaction had gone through but there seemed to be a problem with the paper role which never produced a slip. I phoned the branch and explained my situation to the manager and was advised that I can come in with my bank statement on the Saturday and I will be reimbursed. I went in on the Saturday only to be told by the same manager that I actually need to leave my bank statements with her to send it to your head office. With all the going on I refused to do this and I was so angry that I was misinformed with the wrong expectation created. I went back to my car and phoned the Customer care line. I was given the same feedback about the leaving my bank statements, but was told to cross out what I did not want them to see and fax it in. I was never given this option upfront. I had to travel 20km to come fetch my own money after KFC made the mistake! The call centre then logged a query and said the area manager would phone me back. My reference number is CAS-30205-J8R7T1. It is now Monday 2pm and no one has made contact with me. Fighting to get my own money back! Is this right, is it fair?
