I have been an FNB client for the past 14 years. I'm on a Platinum Package. I am also a Standard Bank Private Client, who gives me EXCELLENT service, but due to loyalty towards FNB, I have remained with them as well in a Platinum capacity (I deposit one of my salaries into that account).

I have subsequently applied for a small loan to cover building a expense shortfall. I need to update my physical adress and supply them with a payslip. Being a platinum client I am entiteled to a premier banker. Something which this branch does not have. The bank manager said to me "sorry sir, even my private clients need to sit in a que with the consultants and you dont earn nearly as much as some of my other clients".

What a slap in the face!! I then shoved my Standard Bank Private bank card under his nose. I've never felt so humiliated in my life. I would never have been forward enough to mention my private status with Standard Bank but felt I had to because of the comment he made towards me

Long story short: I need to finalise this loan at FNB. Either the bank manager assists me or you get me an appointment at a set time with a consultant!!

DISGRACEFULL!!
