I am a private banking client of standard bank and I am complaining about the extremely poor service I have been receiving from standard bank. It would be better to say that I am not receiving any service at all. I had been told that I would be allocated a new private banker and have not heard from anyone in the past 2 weeks. I am abroad and there are many banking needs for which I have no one to assist me with. This is not the first time that I am experience problems with standard bank private banking and it seems as if Standard Bank does not care about their clients. I have escalated the matter and it seems as if an apologetic call is their resolution to the problem (a call with no action) only for them to repeat their pathetic service. While banking as a normal client the service was much better and I would commend the Kokstad branch for their service. Had it not been for them I would have had to leave my wife and child with no support due to the inefficiency of Standard Bank Private banking. I seriously think that the Consultants at the Kokstad branch should train the Private bankers on how to do their job!
