ILLEGAL DEBIT ORDER FROM WORLD TC

Good day, My name is Lerato. I have been debited R49.00 p/m from my Standard Bank since last year Oct 2012 . I phoned Customer care and they stopped the debit order and assuring me that they know about that incident and it will stop. Then in March 2013, I found that I owe the bank R500 on bank charges. I went to Standard bank in Cresta Mall for assistance. They told me the charges were accumulated when World TC didnt get money from my account. I told them I dont know World TC and infact your call centre once stopped it for me, So why now are you allowing the debit on my account? Standard bank charged me R17.50 4times a day. They said its for debit orders that failed. I told them I need to close the account then, and they said I should pay the R500 bank charges first, I refused and tried Standard bank Clearwater Mall. They told me the same story and said or else I go to Standard bank Sandton City, then maybe their manager will authorize a cancellation for me in their cost centre. I cannot be driving around quering an incident they are familiar with not knowing the answer, and I cant be paying illegal bank charges as and I thought the Bank would have handled this for all its clients.
