I am highly disgusted that Santam insurance wants to dictate to me, how they want to settle the claim. When they deduct my premium every month, they dont ask me should I do it with a cash card, no they take the cash from my acoount. I am not interested that they want to give me a cash card as I know the inconvenience those items cause. They dont offer me an option as to how I want to settle my claim, they just tell me that they are giving me a cash card, without even asking if I have replaced some of my items. I am not in need of cash I have more than enough money in my bank accounts and investments. My previous claim I also had problems with them with no feedback and now they want to dictate to me how my claim will be settled. I will be cancelling my claim after this as Santam's moto of "ons kibbel nie ons betaal" is a load of dust. Only one phone call, after I made the effort to get quotes, driving my petrol out. I will go to the Ombudsman, if this matter is not sorted to my satisfaction.
