UNFAIR CLAIM SETTLEMENT

My company vehicle was on the 1st of July 2013 and a claim was submitted to SANTAM. They took two months to finalise the claim and sent an AOL. The vehicle was settled on the 23-09-13 but the finance house could not close the account as no reference number was used so another instalment was taken which I had to resolve with the finance house. On inception vehicle was insured based on an invoice which had all details and cost of vehicle and extras, at claim stage SANTAM first removed the cost of the standard items then added the extras which does not make sense as on purchase the dealer did not first remove cost of standard items and then add extra non standard items prices. I maintained contract with financial institution in the two months that SANTAM took to finalise the claim, but SANTAM never paid from date of loss but insisted on a settlement letter on date of AOL, which is a lower amount than date of incident. My broker and I have been trying to get answers but we get statements from staff with no solid references to clauses in the policy document. SANTAM your staff and your handling of my incident is disgusting. I hope other companies and people don't go through this.
