Santam worst in processing insurance claim!!!

I submitted a 3rd party insurance claim against Santam on 12 April 2013 following a motor vehicle accident caused by their client on 10 April 2013. Since then, the representatives of Santam, namely Julia and Innocent at Legal Department have been dragging their feet to finalise the processing and settlement of the claim, even going to the extent of making false excuses that their client did not have a policy with Santam, and then that the client had not paid excess yet when the client had already paid and confirmed by submission of proof of payment to Santam, that claim documents submitted weren't complete, and Santam waiting for assessor's report when the assessor had already completed his inspection of the vehicle and submitted his report on the same day on 10 May 2013. It is now almost 2 months since the date of accident and claim submission, and Santam has still not finalised the claim to settle. This is the worst service level ever by an insurer! If this is how Santam runs its insurance business, then it can only have a lot of frustrated clients!!! Mutual & Federal was right when it said in its advert: "If you want to know how good your insurance is, then claim! "
