Insurance Claim

My husband was in an accident in June 2013.Santam gave feedback on the claim on the 07th October 2013 repudiating the claim saying he was intoxicated while driving. The length of time it took to give aresponse to the claim was far too long. Makes it feel like santam is looking for excuses not to pay the claim. My husband was not drinking on that night and the accident was as a result of an on coming car driving in his Lane. He had no option but to drive off the road to avoid a collision with the other car. No blood test was taken no breathalyser test was taken but some how Santam thinks he was intoxicated yet there is but proof of this. This claim had been repudiated on unjustified ground. This is by far the worst insurance company I've heard of till date. I expected so much more from such a reputable company. To claim some one was drinking when there is no proof. We are definitely taking this matter forward. I am very disappointed as I to was planning to move from outsurance to santam. That is not going t to happen now due to unethical and questionable ways of resolving. claims.. We are very very disappointed in santam shame
