We called the Call Centre of Absa On Monday 14/10, after the Latco valve of the geyser cracked and water dripped through the ceiling and down the bedroom wall. We were given a claim reference no.By Tuesday afternoon we had not heard anything from them yet. When we phoned to find out what happened, the consultant failed to log the complaint. This was rectified and the valve was fixed on Wednesday, 16/10. On the following Monday, 21 October an assessor finally arrived to assess the damage to the ceilings and we were told that within 3 or 4 days someone would contact us regarding the painting of the ceilings. Since then countless calls have been made to the insurance dept of Absa to no avail. It is now 5 November and up to now no-one has contacted us regarding the ceilings.
