Hail damage to house - claim rejected

28/10/2013 hail storm in Potchefstroom, hail blocked roof, ceilings fell in and house under water.( the whole area had damages, 2 kids drowned in our gravel road, in news papers) Reported 29/10/2013. No contact from Absa, phoned on 1/11/2013, told me I will receive sms's with contractors details, the contractor for the carpets arrived 1/11/2013, the contractor for the ceilings phone was unavailable till 4/11/2013. Phoned Absa again, a new contractor was allocated, MAZIYA GEMBE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS (from Soweto) - 140km from Potchefstroom. He was at our house on 5/11/2013, telling us after inspection of the roof, it was definitely blockage of the hail that caused the ceiling to fall in, he will send the report to Absa. Still no contact from Absa, I phoned on 12/11/2013, got told claim was rejected due to not maintaining the flat roof that was build on at a later stage. The house was bought like that, the bond is with Absa (house plan with them). Took the claim to Absa Complaints dept on 13/11/2013. No news till now. The household claim was settled already (different Insurer) There was no leakage on the ceilings prior to the storm.
