Does Nedbank "make things happen"?

A few months ago I reported how Nedbank charged me for a budget installment and the subsequent finance charges for purchases that a cashier mistakenly put through as "on budget" and for which I had paid in full. After reporting this on hellopeter, Nedbank contacted me and I contacted them when they promised to phone back and never did. They made up a number of excuses which were contradictory, and in doing so exemplified incompetence. Eventually, I decided to drop the matter because all banks are supposedly as bad. I decided to give Nedbank another chance and applied for an American Express Card. I was told I would have the card within a week. Two weeks later I went to collect the card. No card. The gentleman at Enquiries at the Irene Branch went out of his way to help. The card would be there within a week. Three weeks later, 14 September, I went to collect the card. No card. Once again, the gentleman at Enquiries went out of his way. I now have a reference number: 64685768. Nedbank Card Division, I challenge you to try learn a little competence and deliver the card to your Irene branch. Can you really "make things happen"?
