In Nov 2012, I made a purchase with my Nedbank Credit Card. Without my knowledge the cashier erroneously put the transaction on budget. At the end of Nov, I transferred money into my credit card for all the purchases I had made for that month with the card. In April I became aware that I was paying a budget installment and finance charges for something bought on "budget" 6 months previously. On contacting Nedbank, they agreed that the transactions and payments on my card clearly indicated that the cashier had made a mistake. They stopped the installment payments and reversed the finance charges. They have, however, refused to reverse the installment payments as it is not their policy to do so. If a purchase is classified as "budget" and I have paid my card in full, including the the amount on "budget", surely I should have a credit balance? Nedbank has not refuted the fact that I have paid twice, but refuse to do anything about it. Surely, this is? Nedbank, your once catchy slogan, "Makes you think" has left me questioning why I have banked with you for 20 years. I question Nedbank's ethics. Maybe I should do what Steve did.
