Pathetic Cusomer Service

Received a call to update me on my claim, stating that the invoice I received from The company that carried out my claim did not have my mileage on it so they cant proceed.
When I got home I remembered that the mileage was captured on recoreded conversation when the claim was logged (i read it out), so i called the call centre at 16:11 to tell them they already have the reading so please proceed with claim, so the agent Stan said the lady responsible has left for the day, I obviously ask to speak to a supervisor as it is a simple matter to resolve, was put on hold and after a few minutes another gentleman comes to the phone and asks to take down my details as Stan and the Manager are busy discussing the situation, i was promised a call back before EOD. 30 minutes pass and i called back to get a voice prompt telling me their business hours (company closed).
It's really sad how customer service has degraded in this country, but solely due to this experience I have learn't to take my business elsewhere where hopefully better service levels do exist.
I want this matter fixed asap as it was not a small amount i was asked to pay out and then claim a refund.
