Call centre - expect to wait 15-30 minutes

On Sunday, 28th July, I went to the Standard Bank K90 branch ATM machines to withdraw cash. This branch usually has an official on duty at the centre. This was the case, except that the official turned out to be an imposter. The following morning, I received an SMS regarding a purchase transaction (R872) on my account which was obviously. My biggest complaint is the length of time holding on the phone whilst waiting to report this and have my account closed. While I was holding on the line, a 2nd SMS came through for another purchase (R579) followed by a cash withdrawal (R5000). My other complaint is that something needs to be done about the dept call centre (011 227 4905). Try phoning this number and expect a 15 to 30 minute delay as I have experienced and many times just aborted the call. When I first reported the case I was given a ref no. (3330410) and told that I will be contacted within 3 days to discuss my case (a week later, no phone call, so I went through the process of holding) and another 10-15 days to investigate the case.
