On Saturday 13 April, my ATM card got stuck in the ATM. I immediately contacted the call centre to have my card stopped. Sunday morning I went to my Branch (Key West), to get a new bank card, only to discover that R 8 500 was gone out of my account. (Debit Card Purchase and cash withdrawal). I immediately went to one of the consultants on duty that day, explained everything to her, and she promised to report it to the division for me, and that I should get feedback within 3 days. Almost two weeks later, with no response I go back to my branch only to be informed that the matter was never reported. I then reported the incident MYSELF, and the process started again... 2 weeks later, no response from STD Bank, so I phone again only to be informed that they have a backlog etc etc... Yesterday I get a call from division informing me that as a act of goodwill they will refund me 50%, because my card was swopped. I cancelled the card immediately it happened on that day.. The withdrawal and purchase happened after I stopped my card... but now they are only willing to refund 50%... Expect me to close my business account soon...
