Nedbank
WHAT HAPPENED TO TREATING CUSTOMERS FAIRLY

Business & Finance

Nedbank has double debited my account without consulting with me first. I was on martenity leave and asked for a premium reduction due to that. When I came back I reinstated my full premium and of course I was in arreas. At the time I was told that even a R100 towards contributing to my being in arreas was fine. Now when they decide that the amount was not enough, they go ahead & double deduct my account!!! I call them today to rectify the problem I get some VERY RUDE customer Service agent, his name is Sandile. Reference Sanidile21082013. He told me that they "TRIED" to get hold of me. I asked when did they do that? & they have my email as well couldnt they email me the warning or call till they got hold of me! Then I could at least make an arrangement that would be suitable. They owned it to me, to warn me that a big chunk of my money would be coming out of my account. That is not treating me fairly? they are in contravention of TCF where it states "Customers should be confident that they are dealing with firms where a fair treatment of customers is central to the firms culture. & Where customers recieve advise, the advise is suitable and takes account of thier circumstances
