I cancelled my membership with Virgin Active in October of last year. A few days ago they deducted R650 from my account. When I queried it I got an email stating that it was because I had cancelled my Vitality and so I must now pay full price??? Seriously??? What a bunch of artists. I told them in October that I cannot afford to pay for something that I am not using, hence the reason I cancelled. Now I must pay even more for it??? I will never use one of their money making excuses for a gym ever again. They couldnt even be bothered to pick up a phone and contact me personally, but rather just resort to email. Maybe they should read up on the treating customers fairly legislation before making unauthorised deductions from peoples bankk accounts.
