Excess

Business & Finance

I was visting my mom and her geyser burst on 11/07/2013. She lives in De Rustin the Western Cape, she is 70 years old. For her to have this sort of thing happen is very stressful. Originally I was told by a lady that my mom's excess is R1200 (unfortunately I do not have her name). Later the afternoon I spoke to Michelle and she said the excess is R1320.00 and I told her we were told it is R1200.00. She then said "Her apologies, it is R1200.00 and will only go up to R1320.00 at the end of the month with annual increase". Carla then phoned me later the afternoon and said we have an excess of R1320.00 and I told her we were told it is R1200.00. She put me on conference call with Moreen and I told Moreen what we were told. They then wanted to put the claim on hold to investigate meaning my mom would have been without hot water (I left on Saturday 13/07/2013) for whatever time frame they would take to investigate. I told Moreen and Carla to fix the geyser and investigate it, I will pay the R1320.00 and Moreen said she will phone me back before 10 on 12/07/2013, she will go and listen to the recordings and get back to me. To this day no one has phoned me back
