Arrived home to find the Geyser burst. Phoned Miway at 2:30pm. Spoke to a very helpful chap who promised to send out a plumber as soon as possible. I asked him if my policy covered the Geyser, he said yes, I asked him if there was an excess, he said he would check for me, came back and said 'No Excess'. I said great, go ahead. I got SMS' with reference numbers, all OK. Plumber phoned, confirmed time, arrived at said time, checked geyser, confirmed it was burst, asked me to contact Miway for a go-ahead to replace the geyser which he had with him. Its is now 6:00pm. Phoned Miway. Agent took my call. Said the geyser is not covered in the policy!? started to get very annoyed with this agent. Agent contacted the supervisor. Got back to me, Yes now they will authorise the geyser replacement, but I must pay an excess of R1200.? Started to get very very annoyed with the agent, asked for the supervisor. Supervisor gave me the same BS. Supervisor put me back to the agent as apparently he could not longer deal with me in my rage. Agent continued the belligerent response of I must pay R1200. Its 6:30 pm on public holiday! how do I do it? Miway has just become Pathetic. Disappointed!!!
