Funeral Cover through FNB and Liberty

I've submitted a funeral claim on behalf of my dad on the 14th of May on the day my mom passed away! I've tried on several occasions to get some feedback and response from Liberty that is dealing with the claim on number 0860 101 202. It would seem that nobody in the contact center can tell me exactly where this claim is in the process and when I ask to speak to a manager my call gets cut off every single time. Maybe some technology challenges or lack of training to the agents working in the contact center? Bottom line is this is just unacceptable for companies to collect their money every single month for benefits that should cover you the day you need it, but at this stage it seems like the process is well engineered to collect debit orders every month but the claims procedure is not even defined? I've then went to the Liberty Groups website in desperation thinking maybe I can get hold of somebody and noticed that they have a well defined complaints procedure, only problem being they state that they will provide you with feedback after 20 working days... I've now reached the point, not even interested and will have my say on social media about this debacle!
