Unfair penalty fee charged

On the 25th of May 2013, I had a vendor debit order go off SUCCESSFULLY from my account. This morning, I find that Standard Bank has decided to charge me a fee of R115 on the 29th of May 2013, stating that the debit order was unsuccessfull.

I have checked with the vendor, and they confirm that they have received my payment on the 25th - the debit order was successful.

I phone Standard Bank Customer Care and get told by one of the agents, that "maybe the vendor tried to debit your account again? " NO, I have checked with them and they did NOT try and debit again, seeing as they ALREADY RECEIVED MY MONEY ON THE 25TH. If they tried again, it would also have shown on my statement, which it does not!!

So now I'm told that they will investigate and my refund will take up to 3 working days. So strange that it takes to long, when they are very quick to charge me this unfair fee in the first place!!!
