Bad, bad, bad, client service!!! I did a stop payment online for a debit order on the 4th of Dec. The debit order did deduct from my account on the 7th Dec, there wasn't sufficient funds in my account so I immediately after I received the sms from standard bank did a transfer to cover for the debit order. The next day on the 8th the debit order has been returned with a penalty of R115!!! why on earth if I did correct my account immediately? Looks like Standard bank just wants to make money and don't care about providing a service to their clients!!! Why don't they give you an hour to correct your account, because sometimes its not the clients fault if debit orders deduct earlier or is not stopped in time.
