I cannot believe that i have to resort to such measure such as Hello peter to get my problem solved with Standard Bank. I completely and utterly appalled at their services in respect to how long it takes to open up a savings account for my family's future. I contacted Standard via the Internet advising them that i would like to open up a specific savings account. Yes, i admit that the turnaround to get back to me was met. However, the problem arises when the agent that contacted me advised that the branch at San Ridge (Midrand) will be in contact with me the FOLLOWING week to come in for signature of the required documents and my account will be opened up. IT has now been THREE weeks and i still did not get a response from the branch nor an agent to purely advise what the delay in the matter is. I would have understood. It is completely unacceptable for a client such as myself, who has been a loyal client for the past 8-10 years to be left in the lurch. here i am thinking whether the call from the agent was a one and found myself worrying beyond anything. I simply cannot believe opening up a simple account would be so critical and prolonged unnecessarily.
