NO REFUND AFTER MONEY DEDUCTED WITHOUT AUTHORITY

I decided to change my car and household insurance to M&F in March this year and my first premium (R 1213.58) was deducted on 2nd April 2013. However, I noticed a second amount (R 1380.51) had also been deducted from my account by M&F on the same day! I mailed my broker on 3rd April and the next day she notified me that M&F had incorrectly loaded a second policy in my name on their system! They promised me a refund.

On 17 April 2013 Ferdon Govendor from M&F becomes involved, who says the funds should be back in my account in 5-6 working days. At no point do I receive any apology from M&F for the delay or inconvenience until I bring this to their attention.

I am still waiting for a refund a month after the money was deducted! I have subsequently cancelled my policy with Mutual and Federal. I am absolutely disgusted at their complete apathy and incompetence!
