MUTUAL & FEDERAL CHARGING FOR CANCELLED INSURANCE

After having to deal with totally rude and unprofessional brokers of Mutual & Federal called Amalgamated Broker Consultants I eventually cancelled my policy with Mutual & Federal in the middle of last month.
On the 4 April I was charged again for the same policy and when requested a refund was met with the usual non-existent service - an email from MF was forwarded to me with 2 days delay and no further comments or help suggested as was the case with most of my correspondence with the brokers. When I remarked on the delay in an email, was accused of having "your attitude rather rude, condescending and confrontational" which in my mind describes exactly the attitude of David (the author of the email). During the time I had my policy David has on numerous occasions commented on my private information with other clients of his, which are my friends and informed me of the conversations. I haven't got time to find out if this is illegal, but the least is extremely unprofessional. My question to MF is - do you expect the brokers servicing your clients to just check emails every third day and forward the relevant emails to the clients and how long do you need to cancel a debit orde
