I bought a voucher from them as a gift for a friend, and also bought myself one. The vendor couldnt honour the voucher, and so i requested a refund, and explained i already had to purchase my friend another gift so not only was it embarassing but also expensive. They gave me a refund to my groupon account in credit to use, when i specically said i wanted my card refunded as i dont have the need to have credit with them, especially when there are hardly ever any good deals. Since then i have followed up numerous times, and i just get no reply. I am at my wits end, and i am sure the consumer protection act protects us from things like this. Never mind i purchased another voucher from them last year, and the vendor has also never honoured that... i'm sure Groupon is making millions from people who never get anything for their money. I wont be shopping with them again, and not sure what i will even do with the credit to my account which is my hard earned money they are taking from me!
